حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ الْعَطَّارُ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَ
بِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمُكَاتَبُ يُودَى مَا أَعْتَقَ مِنْهُ بِحِسَابِ الْحُرِّ وَمَا رَقَّ مِنْهُ بِحِسَابِ الْعَبْدِ

English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, Aban al-'Attar narrated to us, Yahya ibn Abi Kathir narrated to us, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The mukatab (slave under a manumission contract) pays blood money proportional to how much of his contract he has paid — the proportion of a free person — and the rest as a slave's proportion.'
