English Translation
Yunus narrated to us, Hammad, meaning Ibn Zayd, narrated to us, from 'Amr ibn Dinar, from Tawus, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) that a Bedouin gave a gift to the Prophet ﷺ, and the Prophet ﷺ reciprocated by giving him a return gift. He ﷺ said: 'Are you satisfied?' He said: 'No.' So the Prophet ﷺ increased it and said: 'Are you satisfied?' He said: 'No.' So the Prophet ﷺ increased it again and said: 'Are you satisfied?' He said: 'Yes.' the Prophet ﷺ said: 'I had intended not to accept a gift except from a Qurayshi, an Ansari, a Thaqafi, or a Dawsi.'
