حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ وَخَلَفُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ مَرَّ النَّ
بِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِرَهْطٍ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ وَقَدْ نَصَبُوا حَمَامَةً يَرْمُونَهَا فَقَالَ لَا تَتَّخِذُوا شَيْئًا فِيهِ الرُّوحُ غَرَضًا

English Translation
Aswad ibn 'Amir and Khalaf ibn al-Walid narrated to us, they said: Isra'il narrated to us, from Simak, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) who said: the Prophet ﷺ passed by a group of people shooting arrows. He ﷺ said: 'Shoot, O children of Isma'il, for your father was an archer. Shoot, and I am with Banu so-and-so.' One of the two groups stopped shooting. He ﷺ asked: 'Why do you not shoot?' They said: 'How can we shoot when you are with them?' He ﷺ said: 'Shoot, and I am with all of you.'
