English Translation
Abu Ahmad narrated to us, Abu Bakr, meaning al-Nahshali, narrated to us, from Habib ibn Abi Thabit, from Yahya ibn al-Jazzar, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray lengthy voluntary prayers at night. When he entered into Witr, he would pray three rak'ahs, reciting in the first: 'Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High' [al-A'la], in the second: 'Say: O disbelievers' [al-Kafirun], and in the third: 'Say: He is Allah, the One' [al-Ikhlas].
