حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَن

َا حُسَيْنٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ يَعْمَرَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ أَسْلَمْتُ وَبِكَ آمَنْتُ وَعَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَإِلَيْكَ أَنَبْتُ وَبِكَ خَاصَمْتُ أَعُوذُ بِعِزَّتِكَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ أَنْ تُضِلَّنِي أَنْتَ الْحَيُّ الَّذِي لَا تَمُوتُ وَالْجِنُّ وَالْإِنْسُ يَمُوتُونَ

English Translation

'Abd al-Samad narrated to us, my father narrated to us, Husayn narrated to us, Ibn Buraydah narrated to us, he said: Yahya ibn Ya'mar narrated to me, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said about the sea: 'Its water is purifying and its dead creatures are lawful.'
