قَالَ هُشَيْمٌ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ

عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صُومُوا يَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ وَخَالِفُوا فِيهِ الْيَهُودَ صُومُوا قَبْلَهُ يَوْمًا أَوْ بَعْدَهُ يَوْمًا
Isnad Chain
English Translation
Hushaym (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that ibn Abi Layla informed us, from Dawud ibn 'Ali, from his father, from his grandfather Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما), who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Fast the Day of 'Ashura and differ from the Jews therein: fast a day before it or a day after it."
