English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Jabir, from al-Sha'bi, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما), that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would perform cupping, he would be cupped on the two jugular veins. He said: He called a slave boy belonging to Banu Bayadah, who cupped him, and he gave the cupper his wages: one and a half mudd. He said: He spoke to his masters, and they reduced half a mudd from his (daily obligation), as his obligation had been two mudd.
