Marriage to Khadijah bint Khuwaylid

At the age of 25, Muhammad married Khadijah bint Khuwaylid, a wealthy and respected merchant of Quraysh who was about 40 years old. She had been impressed by his honesty, integrity, and the profits he earned leading her caravan. Their marriage lasted 25 years until her death. She bore him all his children except Ibrahim: al-Qasim, Zaynab, Ruqayyah, Umm Kulthum, Fatimah, and Abdullah.
