حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُسْهِرٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ خِلَاسٍ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ، قَا
لَ : رَمَى رَجُلٌ أُمَّهُ بِحَجَرٍ فَقَتَلَهَا، فَطَلَبَ مِيرَاثَهُ مِنْ إِخْوَتِهِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ إِخْوَتُهُ : لَا مِيرَاثَ لَكَ، فَارْتَفَعُوا إِلَى عَلِيٍّ،" فَجَعَلَ عَلَيْهِ الدِّيَةَ، وَأَخْرَجَهُ مِنْ الْمِيرَاثِ "

English Translation
It was narrated from Khilas, from Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), that a man threw a stone at his mother and killed her, then demanded his share of the inheritance from his brothers. His brothers said: You have no inheritance. They brought the matter before Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). He imposed the blood money upon the man and excluded him from the inheritance.
