English Translation
Hashim narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, he said: Ja'far ibn Iyas informed me, he said: I heard Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas رضي الله عنهما who said: Umm Hufayd, the maternal aunt of Ibn 'Abbas, gifted to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ dried cottage cheese (aqit), ghee (samn), and lizard meat (dabb). the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ate from the cottage cheese and the ghee, but he left the lizard meat out of dislike for it. It was eaten on the table of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Had it been forbidden, it would not have been eaten on his table.
