English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Abis — that he said: 'the Prophet ﷺ went out on an Eid day — had it not been for my closeness to him I would not have attended, being so young. He came to the house of Kathir ibn al-Salt and prayed two rak'ahs. He then gave the sermon and commanded [them to give] charity.' [The narrator] said: 'And no adhan or iqamah was mentioned.'
