English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — via Abu Hadir — that Ibn 'Umar was asked about nabidh prepared in clay jars [jarr]. He said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade it.' The man then went to Ibn 'Abbas and told him what Ibn 'Umar had said. Ibn 'Abbas said: 'He spoke the truth.' The man asked Ibn 'Abbas: 'What type of clay jar did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbid?' He said: 'Everything made of clay [madar].'
