حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا نَافِعٌ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ قَالَ كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ ابْنُ
Body (Matn)
عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الْيَمِينُ عَلَى الْمُدَّعَى عَلَيْهِ وَلَوْ أَنَّ النَّاسَ أُعْطُوا بِدَعْوَاهُمْ لَادَّعَى نَاسٌ أَمْوَالًا كَثِيرَةً وَدِمَاءً
Isnad Chain
English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — via Ibn Abi Mulaykah — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The oath [to disprove a claim] is upon the defendant — and if people were given [judgment] based on their claims alone, people would claim vast wealth and [falsely accuse regarding] blood.'
