English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — via Sa'id ibn Jubayr — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ combined Dhuhr and 'Asr, and Maghrib and 'Isha' in Madinah without [the excuse of] fear or rain. I asked Ibn 'Abbas: 'Why did he do that?' He said: 'So as not to put his ummah in hardship.'
