‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏وَكِيعٌ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏إِسْرَائِيلُ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ‏ ‏عَنِ ‏ ‏الْأَرْقَمِ بْنِ شُرَحْبِيلَ الْأَوْدِيِّ ‏ ‏عَنِ ‏ ‏ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ‏ ‏أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏حِينَ جَاءَ ‏ ‏أَخَذَ مِنْ الْقِرَاءَةِ مِنْ حَيْثُ كَانَ بَلَغَ ‏ ‏أَبُو بَكْرٍ ‏ ‏رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ‏

English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — via al-Arqam ibn Shurahbil al-Awdi — that when the Prophet ﷺ arrived [at the prayer], he continued [leading] the recitation from where Abu Bakr (رضي الله عنه) had reached.
