حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ عَ

نِ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَتَوَضَّأُ ثَلَاثًا يَرْفَعُهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَكَانَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ يَتَوَضَّأُ مَرَّةً مَرَّةً يَرْفَعُهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — via Rawh, from al-Awza'i, from al-Muttalib ibn 'Abdullah — that Ibn 'Umar used to perform wudu washing each part three times, attributing this [practice] to the Prophet ﷺ. And Ibn 'Abbas used to perform wudu washing each part once, attributing this [practice] to the Prophet ﷺ.
