English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — via Rawh, from Hammad ibn Salama, from Ayyub, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr — that Ibn 'Abbas said: 'Quraysh said: Muhammad and his Companions have been weakened by the fever of Yathrib [Madinah]. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived during the year of his 'Umra [Umrat al-Qada'], he said to his Companions: Perform ramal around the House so the polytheists can see your strength. When they performed the ramal, Quraysh said: They have not been weakened.'
