English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه) — via Abu Mu'awiya, from al-A'mash, from Ibrahim al-Tayymi, from al-Harith ibn Suwayd; and via al-A'mash, from 'Umara, from al-Aswad — that they both said: ''Abdullah said: A believer sees his sins as if he is at the foot of a mountain, fearing it will fall upon him; while the sinner sees his sins as a fly that landed on his nose — he waved it away like this and it flew off.'
