English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه) — via Abu Mu'awiya, from al-A'mash, from Zayd ibn Wahb — that 'Abdullah said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: There will be rulers over you whom you will see favoring themselves [athara] over others. They said: O Messenger of Allah, what should those of us who live to see that do? He said: Fulfill the rights [owed] to them, and ask Allah for what is rightfully yours.'
