English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه) — via Yahya, from Sufyan, from Mansur, from Salim ibn Abi al-Ja'd, from his father — that 'Abdullah said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: There is not one of you except that his companion from the jinn and his companion from the angels have been assigned to him. They said: And you too, O Messenger of Allah? He said: And me too — but Allah helped me against him [the jinn], so he commands me only to good.'
