English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه) — via Yahya, from al-Tayymi, from Abi 'Uthman — that a man kissed a woman [unlawfully]. He came to the Prophet ﷺ asking about its expiation. Allah (عز وجل) revealed: Establish the prayer at the two ends of the day and at the approaches of the night — indeed good deeds remove bad deeds [11:114]. The man said: O Messenger of Allah, is this specifically for me? He said: For whoever among my nation does such a thing.
