English Translation

It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه) — via Yazid, from al-'Awwam, from Abi Ishaq al-Shaybani, from al-Qasim ibn 'Abd al-Rahman, from his father — that 'Abdullah narrated from the Prophet ﷺ that he said: 'The millstone of Islam turns [at a critical juncture] at the head of thirty-five, or thirty-six, or thirty-seven [years]. If [the people] perish — then it is the way of those who perish. And if they endure — their religion will be established for them for seventy years.'
