َنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ كُنَّا نَرَى الْآيَاتِ فِي زَمَانِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَرَكَاتٍ وَأَنْتُمْ تَرَوْنَهَا تَخْوِيفًا

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه) — via Mu'awiya ibn Hisham, from Sufyan, from al-A'mash, from Ibrahim, from 'Alqama — that 'Abdullah said: 'We used to see the [miraculous] signs in the time of the Prophet ﷺ as blessings, and you see them as [causes for] fear.'
