حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِقَوْمٍ يَتَخَلَّفُونَ عَن
ْ الْجُمُعَةِ لَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ آمُرَ رَجُلًا يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ ثُمَّ أُحَرِّقَ عَلَى رِجَالٍ يَتَخَلَّفُونَ عَنْ الْجُمُعَةِ بُيُوتَهُمْ قَالَ زُهَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ مِنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ

English Translation
Yahya ibn Adam narrated to us, Zuhayr narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq, from Abu al-Ahwas, from 'Abdullah (ibn Mas'ud) رضي الله عنه that the Prophet ﷺ said regarding a people who stay away from the Friday prayer: 'I have resolved to command a man to lead the prayer, then I would set fire to the houses of men who stay away from the Friday prayer.'
