حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ بَهْدَلَةَ عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ
بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَهْلِ الصُّفَّةِ مَاتَ فَوُجِدَ فِي بُرْدَتِهِ دِينَارَانِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَيَّتَانِ

English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, 'Asim ibn Bahdala informed us, from Zirr ibn Hubaysh, from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud رضي الله عنه, that a man from Ahl al-Suffah (the People of the Bench) died. A dinar or two were found in his garment. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Two branding marks (kayy)' — or he said: 'One branding mark.'
