English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه) — via Wahb ibn Jarir, from Shu'ba, from Abi Ishaq, from 'Amr ibn Maymun — that 'Abdullah said: 'I never saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ supplicate against Quraysh except on one day. He was praying while a group of Quraysh sat nearby, and the paunch of a slaughtered camel was close to him. They said: Who will take that paunch and throw it on his back? 'Uqba ibn Abi Mu'ayt said: I will. He took it and threw it on his back [while the Prophet ﷺ was in prostration]. He remained prostrate until Fatima (may Allah's blessings be upon her) came and removed it from his back. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: O Allah, deal with the chiefs of Quraysh! O Allah, deal with 'Utba ibn Rabi'a! O Allah, deal with Shayba ibn Rabi'a! O Allah, deal with Abu Jahl ibn Hisham! O Allah, deal with 'Uqba ibn Abi Mu'ayt! O Allah, deal with Ubayy ibn Khalaf — or Umayya ibn Khalaf! 'Abdullah said: I then saw them all killed at Badr and dragged to the well [al-qalib] — except Ubayy — or Umayya — who was a large man and fell apart [before they could drag him].'
