حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي خِدَاشٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ لَمَّا أَشْرَفَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الْمَقْبُرَةِ وَهِيَ عَلَى طَرِيقِهِ الْأُولَى أَشَارَ بِيَ
دِهِ وَرَاءَ الضَّفِيرِ أَوْ قَالَ وَرَاءَ الضَّفِيرَةِ شَكَّ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ فَقَالَ نِعْمَ الْمَقْبُرَةُ هَذِهِ فَقُلْتُ لِلَّذِي أَخْبَرَنِي أَخَصَّ الشِّعْبَ قَالَ هَكَذَا قَالَ فَلَمْ يُخْبِرْنِي أَنَّهُ خَصَّ شَيْئًا إِلَّا كَذَلِكَ أَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ وَرَاءَ الضَّفِيرَةِ أَوْ الضَّفِيرِ وَكُنَّا نَسْمَعُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَصَّ الشِّعْبَ الْمُقَابِلَ لِلْبَيْتِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — via Ibrahim ibn Abi Khidash — that Ibn 'Abbas said: 'When the Prophet ﷺ came upon the graveyard — which lay on his first road — he gestured with his hand toward what was behind the enclosure [al-dafir] — or the enclosure [al-dafira] ('Abd al-Razzaq expressed uncertainty) — and said: What an excellent graveyard this is. Ibn Jurayj said: I asked the one who told me: Did he specify the mountain pass? He said: That is what he said — he did not tell me that he specified anything except that he gestured with his hand behind the enclosure. And we used to hear that the Prophet ﷺ specified the mountain pass facing the House.'
