English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Abd al-Samad and Hasan ibn Musa, from Hammad, from 'Asim, from Zirr ibn Hubaysh — that he [Ibn Mas'ud] was picking a miswak stick from an arak tree. He had thin shins, and the wind was tipping him over. The people laughed at him. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'What are you laughing at?' They said: 'O Prophet of Allah, at the thinness of his shins.' He said: 'By the One in Whose Hand my soul is, they are heavier on the Scale than [Mount] Uhud.'
