حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ عَنْتَرَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ قَالَ اسْتَأْذَنَ عَلْقَمَةُ وَالْأَسْوَدُ عَلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ إِنَّهُ
سَيَلِيكُمْ أُمَرَاءُ يَشْتَغِلُونَ عَنْ وَقْتِ الصَّلَاةِ فَصَلُّوهَا لِوَقْتِهَا ثُمَّ قَامَ فَصَلَّى بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via Ibn Fudayl, from Harun ibn 'Antara, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Aswad — that he said: ''Alqama and al-Aswad asked permission to enter upon 'Abdullah. He said: There will be rulers placed over you who will be preoccupied from [praying at] the proper prayer times — so pray at the proper times. Then he stood and prayed [with 'Alqama] between me and him, and said: This is how I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do it.'
