English Translation

It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه) — via Muhammad ibn Ja'far, from Shu'ba, from 'Amr ibn Murra — I heard 'Abdillah ibn Salama say: I heard 'Abdillah ibn Mas'ud say: 'Your Prophet (ﷺ) was given the keys to everything — except five [which belong to Allah alone]: 'Indeed with Allah is the knowledge of the Hour; and He sends down the rain; and He knows what is in the wombs; and no soul knows what it will earn tomorrow; and no soul knows in which land it will die. Indeed Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware' [31:34].' [The narrator says]: I said to him: Did you yourself hear this from 'Abdullah? He said: Yes, more than fifty times.
