English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via Muhammad ibn Ja'far, from Shu'ba and Hajjaj, from Shu'ba, from Salama ibn Kuhayl, from 'Isa al-Asadi, from Zirr, from 'Abdullah, from the Prophet ﷺ — that he said: 'Taking bad omens from birds [al-tiyara] is [a form of] shirk. And there is none of us [who does not feel this inclination] — but Allah removes it through tawakkul [reliance on Him].'
