حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ عَنْ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَهَبَ لِ
حَاجَتِهِ فَأَمَرَ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ أَنْ يَأْتِيَهُ بِثَلَاثَةِ أَحْجَارٍ فَجَاءَهُ بِحَجَرَيْنِ وَبِرَوْثَةٍ فَأَلْقَى الرَّوْثَةَ وَقَالَ إِنَّهَا رِكْسٌ ائْتِنِي بِحَجَرٍ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Abd al-Razzaq, from Ma'mar, from Abu Ishaq, from 'Alqama ibn Qays — that the Prophet ﷺ went to answer the call of nature and commanded Ibn Mas'ud to bring him three stones. He brought him two stones and a piece of animal dung. He threw the dung away and said: 'It is filth [riks] — bring me a stone.'
