حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ زُبَيْدٍ وَمَنْصُورٍ وَسُلَيْمَانَ أَخْبَرُونِي أَنَّهُمْ سَمِعُوا أَبَا وَائِلٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ سِبَابُ الْمُسْلِم
ِ فُسُوقٌ وَقِتَالُهُ كُفْرٌ قَالَ زُبَيْدٌ قُلْتُ لِأَبِي وَائِلٍ مَرَّتَيْنِ أَأَنْتَ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ نَعَمْ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Affan, from Shu'ba — Zubayd, Mansur, and Sulayman informed me that they heard Abu Wa'il narrating from 'Abdullah — from the Prophet ﷺ — who said: 'Abusing a Muslim is iniquity [fusuq] and fighting him is disbelief [kufr].' Zubayd said: 'I asked Abu Wa'il twice: "Did you yourself hear this from 'Abdullah, from the Prophet ﷺ?" He said: "Yes."'
