English Translation

It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Affan, from Jarir ibn Hazim, from al-A'mash, from Ibrahim, from 'Alqama ibn Qays — that he said: 'Allah has cursed those women who tattoo and those who have themselves tattooed, those who pluck their eyebrows, and those who file their teeth for beautification — those who alter the creation of Allah.' Then he said: 'Should I not curse those whom the Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed?' A woman from Banu Asad said: 'I believe that applies to your own household.' He said to her: 'Go and look.' She went and looked and said: 'I did not see any of that in them — and I did not find it in the Mushaf [Quran] either.' He said: 'Yes [it is there] — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did say it.' — [Second chain] Abu 'Abd al-Rahman said: Shayban narrated to us, from Jarir ibn Hazim, from al-A'mash, from Ibrahim, from 'Alqama, from 'Abdullah, from the Prophet ﷺ — similarly.
