حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا قَيْسٌ أَخْبَرَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ
عَبِيدَةَ السَّلْمَانِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ مِنْ الْبَيَانِ سِحْرًا وَشِرَارُ النَّاسِ الَّذِينَ تُدْرِكُهُمْ السَّاعَةُ أَحْيَاءً وَالَّذِينَ يَتَّخِذُونَ قُبُورَهُمْ مَسَاجِدَ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Affan, from Qays, from al-A'mash, from Ibrahim, from 'Abida al-Salmani — that he said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Some eloquence is like magic. And the worst of people are those whom the Hour overtakes while they are alive, and those who take graves as mosques."'
