Hadith #278

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via Muhammad ibn 'Ubayd, from al-A'mash, from Ibrahim al-Taymi, from al-Harith ibn Suwayd — that he said: ''Abdullah said: "I entered upon the Prophet ﷺ while he was suffering from fever. I placed my hand on him and said: 'You are suffering a severe fever.' He said: 'Yes — I suffer a fever like [the combined fever of] two men among you.' I said: 'That is because you will have a double reward.' He said: 'Yes indeed. No believer is afflicted by illness or anything else except that Allah removes his sins by it, as a tree sheds its leaves.'"'
