English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via Sulayman ibn Hayyan, from al-A'mash, from Ibrahim, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid — that he said: ''Abdullah stoned the jamra from the bottom of the valley. I said: "People do not stone it from here." He said: "This — by the One other than Whom there is no god — is the standing place of the one upon whom Surah al-Baqara was revealed, on the day he stoned it." Then 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud stoned it with seven pebbles, saying the takbir with each pebble he threw, then departed.'
