English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه) — via Husayn ibn Muhammad, from Sufyan, from Mansur, from Ibrahim, from 'Abida al-Salmani — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The last of the people of Paradise to enter it — and the last of the people of Hell to leave it — is a man who comes out of the Fire crawling. Allah (عز وجل) says to him: "Go and enter Paradise." He comes to it and it seems to him to be full. He returns and says: "O Lord, I found it full!" He says: "Go and enter Paradise." He comes to it and again it seems full. He returns and says: "O Lord, I found it full!" He says: "Go and enter Paradise." He comes to it again — and again it seems full. He returns and says: "O Lord, I found it full!" — [this happens] three times. Then He says: "Go — for you shall have the like of the entire world and ten times its like" — or: "ten times the like of the world." He says: "O Lord, are You mocking me while You are the King?" — It used to be said that this man is the one with the lowest station in Paradise.'
