Nasr ibn Bab narrated to us, from al-Hajjaj, from Ibrahim, from al-Aswad, from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever asks people for money when he has enough to suffice him will come on the Day of Resurrection with scratches and lacerations on his face.' It was said: O Messenger of Allah, what constitutes enough to suffice him? He said: 'Fifty dirhams, or their equivalent in gold.'
