حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا اسْتَأْذَنَتْ أَحَدَكُمْ امْرَأَتُهُ أَنْ تَأْتِيَ الْمَسْجِدَ فَلَا يَمْنَعْهَا قَالَ وَكَانَتْ امْ

رَأَةُ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ تُصَلِّي فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَقَالَ لَهَا إِنَّكِ لَتَعْلَمِينَ مَا أُحِبُّ فَقَالَتْ وَاللَّهِ لَا أَنْتَهِي حَتَّى تَنْهَانِي قَالَ فَطُعِنَ عُمَرُ وَإِنَّهَا لَفِي الْمَسْجِدِ

English Translation

'Abd al-A'la narrated to us, from Ma'mar, from al-Zuhri, from Salim, from Ibn 'Umar who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'If any of your wives asks permission to go to the mosque, do not prevent her.'
