English Translation

Abu Ma'mar Sa'id ibn Khuthaym narrated to us, Hanzalah narrated to us, from Salim ibn 'Abdullah who said: 'My father 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar, when a man came to him wanting to travel, would say to him: Come close so I may bid you farewell as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to bid us farewell. He would say: I entrust to Allah your religion, your trust, and the outcomes of your deeds (astawdi'u Allah dinaka wa amanataka wa khawatima 'amalik).'
