حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ عَنْ جَامِعِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ أَبِي صَخْرَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ قَالَ لَمَّا أَتَى عَبْدُ اللَّهِ الْجَمْرَةَ جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ اسْتَبْطَنَ الْو
َادِيَ وَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْكَعْبَةَ وَجَعَلَ الْجَمْرَةَ عَلَى حَاجِبِهِ الْأَيْمَنِ ثُمَّ رَمَى بِسَبْعِ حَصَيَاتٍ يُكَبِّرُ مَعَ كُلِّ حَصَاةٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ مِنْ هَاهُنَا وَالَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُهُ رَمَى الَّذِي أُنْزِلَتْ عَلَيْهِ سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via Waki', from al-Mas'udi, from Jami' ibn Shaddad Abi Sakhra, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid — that when 'Abdullah came to the jamra, Jamrat al-'Aqaba, he went into the bottom of the valley, faced the Ka'ba, and positioned the jamra at his right eyebrow [in alignment]. He then threw it with seven pebbles, saying the takbir with each pebble. He then said: 'From here — by the One other than whom there is no god — threw the one upon whom Surah al-Baqara was revealed.'
