حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ حُسَيْنٍ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَالَ كُنَّا مَع
َ ابْنِ عُمَرَ فِي سَفَرٍ فَمَرَّ بِمَكَانٍ فَحَادَ عَنْهُ فَسُئِلَ لِمَ فَعَلْتَ فَقَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَعَلَ هَذَا فَفَعَلْتُ

English Translation
It was narrated — via Yazid ibn Harun, from Sufyan (meaning Ibn Husayn), from al-Hakam, from Mujahid — that he said: 'We were with Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) on a journey, and he passed by a certain place and swerved away from it. He was asked: Why did you do that? He said: \"I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do this, so I did the same.\"'
