حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ سَمِعْتُ حَنْظَلَةَ سَمِعْتُ سَالِمًا يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُشِيرُ إِلَى الْمَشْرِقِ أَوْ قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُشِيرُ إِلَى الْمَشْرِقِ وَيَقُولُ إِنَّ الْفِتْنَةَ هَاهُنَا هَا إِنَّ الْفِتْنَةَ هَاهُنَا هَا إِنَّ الْفِتْنَةَ هَاهُنَا مِنْ حَيْثُ يُطْلِعُ الشَّيْطَانُ قَرْنَيْهِ

English Translation

It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Ishaq ibn Sulayman, from Hanzala, from Salim — that he said: 'I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pointing toward the east and saying: "The tribulation [fitna] is here! Indeed, the tribulation is here! Indeed, the tribulation is here — from whence the horns of the devil appear."'
