نَّاجِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا وَضَعْتُمْ مَوْتَاكُمْ فِي الْقُبُورِ فَقُولُوا بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَعَلَى مِلَّةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

English Translation

'Abd al-Wahid, meaning al-Haddad, narrated to us, Hammam narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Abu al-Siddiq al-Naji, from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'When you place your dead in the graves, say: In the name of Allah, and upon the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.'
