حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ شُعْبَةَ حَدَّثَنِي سِمَاكُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ أَنَّ نَاسًا دَخ
َلُوا عَلَى ابْنِ عَامَرٍ فِي مَرَضِهِ فَجَعَلُوا يُثْنُونَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ أَمَا إِنِّي لَسْتُ بِأَغَشِّهِمْ لَكَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى لَا يَقْبَلُ صَدَقَةً مِنْ غُلُولٍ وَلَا صَلَاةً بِغَيْرِ طُهُورٍ

English Translation
It was narrated — via Yahya, from Shu'ba, from Simak ibn Harb, from Mus'ab ibn Sa'd — that some people visited Ibn 'Amir during his illness and began to praise him. Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) said: 'As for me, I am not the one to deceive you about him. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Indeed, Allah (تبارك وتعالى) does not accept charity acquired through misappropriation [ghulul], nor a prayer performed without purification."'
