English Translation

It was narrated — via Yazid ibn Harun, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, from Nafi' — that he said: 'I heard a man from the Ansar of Banu Salima relating to 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar in the mosque that a maidservant of Ka'b ibn Malik was shepherding his sheep at Sal'. Something befell one of the sheep [threatening it with death], and she feared for it — so she took a sharp stone and slaughtered it with it. They asked the Prophet ﷺ about this, and he commanded them to eat it.'
