English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Muhammad ibn Ja'far, from Shu'ba, from Anas ibn Sirin — that he heard Ibn 'Umar say: 'I divorced my wife while she was menstruating. 'Umar went to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him. He said: "Command him to take her back — then when she becomes pure, let him divorce her."' He [Anas] said: 'I asked Ibn 'Umar: "Is that divorce counted?"' He said: '"So what [if it is]?"'
