English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Hushaym, from Sayyar, from Hafs ibn 'Ubayd Allah — that 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn al-Khattab died, and they wanted to carry him out [for burial] at night due to the large crowd. Ibn 'Umar said: 'If you delay it until morning — for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "The sun rises with the horn of Shaytan."'
