English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Yahya ibn Adam, from Isra'il, from Simak, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr — that he said: 'I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about buying gold with silver or silver with gold.' He said: 'When you buy one of them with the other, do not part with your companion while any ambiguity [lubs] remains in the transaction between you.'
